Brave New World

Join Stephanie Severe & Lainie Love at MINKA for a sacred Saturday morning in Brooklyn where we'll gather in sisterhood, commune with the Divine Feminine and dance Qoya*.

We'll be working with the theme of "Brave New World."

*Qoya brings together the medicines of dance, yoga, community and ritual.  Qoya is based on the idea that through movement, we remember. We remember, as women, our essence is wise, wild and free.  Qoya is designed to feel how the body and movement are a portal to remembering, to feel our perspective shift from going through the motions to savoring life as sacred.  Wise, wild and free also draw reference to the movement forms that we practice. Wise evokes the wisdom of yoga, wild the creative expression in dance and free invites us to expand our capacity for pleasure in the body.  Sacred Sundays is an invitation to invoke the physical sensation of truth in our bodies through movement and our innate interconnectedness through community.  We embody this feeling of truth and set it as North on our compass as we navigate the journey that is our life.  And then we commune next month and do it again!
